“The fault, dear Brutus, is not in our stars, but in ourselves…”
To read this story about the comments of NC Congresswoman Virginia Fox is infuriating…to say the least! The non-partisan magazine National Journal ranked Foxx “the most conservative member of the North Carolina Congressional Delegation and more conservative than 91.3 percent of all House members”. She is a 4-term Congresswoman. But, last week, she voted for a ‘debt ceiling/spending cut’ bill that she knows does nothing to reduce our national debt, nor ‘in fact’ reduce our government spending! Again, she knows that this bill is more damaging to America and its future than it solving any real financial problems!

Yet, she comes out and blasts Congresswoman Michele Bachmann who made a promise…and, kept a promise to NOT vote on any debt ceiling increase; to only vote for for dramatic and immediate spending cuts (real spending cuts); and to vote for a balanced budget Ammendment (the only legal control on out-of-control spending of Congress).
It seems to me Foxx should keep her mouth shut when it comes to criticizing true Conservatives that have the political courage to put their vote where their mouth is! What I suspect is that Foxx is angry because the curtain was pulled back on her willingness to ‘go along, to get along’, ‘Washington Insider’, true leanings!
Etu, Brute? The fault dear Brutus, is not in our stars, but in ourselves….pin the tail on the elephant!

Who in North Carolina also voted yea? Was the curtain pulled back on more than one? I heard the interview of another congress woman that voted yea. She was tripping all over herself in an attempt to explain. Of course she may not have “promised” anything.. Is a promise the criteria now? Should we have litmus test promises for every issue that might arise?
